Winchester City FC Welcomes New Faces for Upcoming Season
Winchester City FC is gearing up for an exciting new season with several notable player signings and a revised pre-season fixture schedule. The club has re-signed Ollie Balmer and Dom Panesar-Dower, both of whom made significant contributions during the latter part of last season with Bemerton. Defender Callum Baughan is also returning to bolster the defense, while midfielder Jake Carswell joins from Andover New Street after a successful campaign that saw his previous team reach the F.A. Vase semi-finals.
Additionally, Matty Neale and Jez Bedford have made the move from Wimborne, further enhancing Winchester’s squad depth as they prepare to tackle the forthcoming season.
The pre-season preparations kick off on July 5 with a home match against AFC Totton, followed by away fixtures against AFC Stoneham on July 8, Bracknell on July 12, and Folland Sports on July 15. The squad will also host Queens Park Rangers on July 19, before heading to Ascot United on July 22 and Tadley Calleva on July 26. Winchester will conclude their pre-season with two more matches, including an away fixture against Laverstock and Ford on July 29 and a home game against Sholing on August 2.
