In an exhilarating round of matches for the ECB Premier Division on May 31, 2025, memorable performances and intense competition highlighted the day.
Bashley (Rydal) triumphed over Alton, chasing down 193 with a commanding 197-3, led by James Tripcony’s brilliant 94. The bowlers shone for Bashley, with Jordan Gordon securing figures of 4-21.
Lymington secured a six-wicket victory against Basingstoke & North Hants, chasing down a target of 148 comfortably, thanks to a strong showing from Matt Berg, who remained unbeaten on 54.
Portsmouth also cruised to victory against Bournemouth, finishing at 228-3. A standout performance from Mohammad Ashraful, who scored 89, led Portsmouth to a seven-wicket win.
Burridge defeated Hampshire Academy, led by significant contributions from Jacob Snell (62) and Suresh (58), reaching 218-4 in reply to Hampshire’s 214.
St Cross Symondians edged past South Wilts by two wickets in a nail-biter, successfully chasing down 246 with crucial innings from Jack Organ and K Dhariwal.
In Division 1, Hambledon’s Matt Pratt stole the spotlight, scoring a century (100*) as they defeated Fair Oak by eight wickets. Totton & Eling, bolstered by a stunning 111 from Dilote, bested Ventnor by 29 runs.
Division 2 saw Andover narrowly defeat Trojans by eight runs, while Liphook & Ripsley chased down 178 against Calmore Sports led by Jamie Covey’s 92. Langley Manor capitalized on Fawley’s dismal 72, winning without losing a wicket.
In Division 3, Sparsholt prevailed in a high-scoring affair against Alton II, thanks to Merlino’s explosive 157*. Odiham & Greywell’s Collins also shone, scoring 103 in their chase.
As the season progresses, teams continue to showcase remarkable talent and resilience across all divisions in the ECB Premier League.
