This temperature tied the record for June highs, previously set at 95 degrees in 2013.

Concord also faced record-breaking temperatures, hitting 98 degrees and breaking a daily record that had stood for 155 years. Portsmouth reached 99 degrees, topping its prior record of 93 set in 2013. Meanwhile, Lebanon registered a temperature of 98, surpassing its 2003 record of 95. Authorities advised residents to restrict outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day.

A potential thunderstorm may occur in northern areas later in the afternoon, bringing a slight chance of relief. While temperatures are expected to remain warm at night, with lows in the 70s, cooler weather is anticipated for Thursday and Friday, along with the possibility of scattered showers and storms over the weekend.
