Harpoon Brewery Opens New Location in Manchester’s Queen City Center
Manchester’s downtown culinary scene welcomes a new addition as Harpoon Brewery officially opened its doors at 217 Canal Street on June 20, 2025. This expansive 9,216-square-foot venue, located in Queen City Center, features 215 indoor seats, a large 50-person bar, and an outdoor beer garden accommodating 80 guests.
Charlie Storey, a representative from Harpoon, expressed excitement over the new location, stating, "Harpoon has die-hard fans across the Northeast and beyond… We’re excited to give craft beer lovers an exciting new public house destination."
The brewery offers an impressive selection of beer from 20 taps, combining innovative brews from its 3.5-barrel system with well-loved classics. For those who prefer alternatives, wine and cocktails are also available. Culinary offerings from head chef John Maggs include pub favorites, fresh pizzas, and a standout creation called the "Tender Town Tower," celebrating Manchester’s iconic chicken tenders. Weekend brunch is also part of the menu.
Harpoon’s new spot operates from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on weekdays and begins service at 10 a.m. on weekends, closing at 10 p.m. on Sundays. Patrons can find it next to the historic R.G. Sullivan Cigar Company building.
Founded in 1986, Harpoon has played a pivotal role in shaping the craft beer landscape, including the introduction of New England’s first India Pale Ale in 1993, and continues to host major events like their annual Octoberfest, attracting 15,000 attendees.
