MANCHESTER, N.H.—Following a morning of showers and storms, residents of Southern New Hampshire should brace for a significant rise in temperatures and humidity. Sunday afternoon is expected to bring sunshine alongside a heat advisory, with temperatures soaring into the mid-80s to lower 90s. The humidity will elevate conditions further, making it feel like it’s between 100 and 105 degrees.
An extreme heat watch has already been issued for Monday and Tuesday, particularly in areas away from the coastline. Monday’s forecast indicates even hotter weather, with highs reaching the 90s inland, while the coastal areas will cool slightly due to a sea breeze.
As the heat continues to intensify, some locations may even approach record-high temperatures on Tuesday. Residents are urged to limit outdoor activities, particularly during the peak heat hours from late morning to early evening on both days.
After a warm and muggy night, temperatures will remain elevated into Wednesday before a shift brings cooler conditions later in the week due to an influx of clouds and showers.
