Press Release: “George Washington Slept Here” Takes the Stage in Manchester
MANCHESTER, NH – Theatre enthusiasts are invited to enjoy the comedy “George Washington Slept Here,” performing at The Majestic Theatre Studios on June 20, 21, and 22. Showtimes include Friday at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Located at 880 Page Street, tickets are priced at $20 for adults and $15 for seniors and youth under 17. The play, crafted by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, follows Newton Fuller and his family as they navigate the challenges of owning a country home. From dealing with a neighbor who controls access to their property, to a daughter’s romantic escapades, and weekend guests that disrupt their peace, the story unfolds in a humorous fashion. Initially, Newton’s desire for rural life is met with skepticism from his wife, Annabell, but as the chaos ensues, she begins to see his charm.
