On Sunday night, two individuals were shot and killed on the Las Vegas Strip in what police describe as an “isolated incident.” The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that gunfire erupted around 10:40 PM local time, specifically in the 3600 block of Las Vegas Boulevard, outside the Bellagio Hotel and Casino—though they clarified that the incident did not occur within the casino itself.
The identities of the victims and suspect remain undisclosed, and no arrests have been made as of now. Officers patrolling the area responded promptly, locating the victims on the sidewalk with apparent gunshot wounds. Despite the officers’ efforts to provide medical assistance, both individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. A video shared on social media captured an officer performing CPR on one of the victims during this chaotic situation.
Police believe they have identified the suspect, noting that there had been prior conflicts between the suspect and the victims on various social media platforms. In a notable moment, a YouTuber was live-streaming during the shooting, inadvertently recording footage of the gunfire; however, this video has since been removed.
Witnesses reported feelings of terror as people fled the scene amid the gunfire, which included at least seven shots fired.
