Best Direction of a Musical nominations went to Saheem Ali for “Buena Vista Social Club” and Jamie Lloyd for “Sunset Boulevard,” while Best Direction of a Play included Sam Mendes for “The Hills of California.”
Awards were also presented for scenic design, lighting, and choreography in both musical and play categories. The Best Original Score nominees included “Dead Outlaw” and “Operation Mincemeat.”
