Air Quality Alert Issued for New Hampshire
MANCHESTER, N.H. — The National Weather Service has issued an air quality alert for particle pollution across all counties in New Hampshire, effective from 2:13 p.m. until 10 a.m. on Monday.
Officials from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services are warning residents of potentially unhealthy air quality levels, particularly affecting children, older adults, and individuals with pre-existing respiratory conditions like asthma or bronchitis. Those who are active outdoors are also at heightened risk.
The air quality concerns extend beyond New Hampshire, with similar alerts issued for several counties in Maine, including Oxford, Franklin, and Cumberland. Residents are urged to be cautious and to monitor local air quality reports.
