NHPR Launches June Membership Drive to Support Local Journalism and Combat Food Insecurity
Concord, NH — New Hampshire Public Radio (NHPR) is urging community members to support quality journalism as part of its June Membership Drive. This initiative aims to keep listeners informed through on-air broadcasts, in-depth online reporting, and local events, such as the recent By Degrees Climate Summit.
Donors will have a unique opportunity during this drive. Contributions made to NHPR will not only enhance independent journalism but also facilitate meal donations to the New Hampshire Food Bank. As the only food bank in the state, the Food Bank serves hundreds of thousands of residents facing food insecurity. It distributes millions of pounds of food to over 400 partner agencies statewide, including food pantries, shelters, and senior centers, ensuring support for the most vulnerable.
As an additional incentive, all contributions made by June 13 at 7:00 PM will enter donors into a drawing for a trip for two to Portugal, courtesy of Visit Alentejo. The winner will enjoy a five-night stay in Évora, complete with car rental, daily breakfast, and a dinner.
By donating, supporters can play a crucial role in both promoting journalistic integrity and addressing hunger in New Hampshire. NHPR invites everyone to join this impactful mission in enhancing community resilience and engagement.
