Candidates Clash in New Hampshire Gubernatorial Forum
Concord, NH – The race for New Hampshire’s next governor is heating up as candidates Republican Kelly Ayotte and Democrat Joyce Craig participated in a spirited forum at NHPR on Tuesday. With current Governor Chris Sununu not seeking reelection, the event emphasized key issues facing the state and offered voters a closer look at the candidates’ platforms.
The forum, which is set to be rebroadcast at 9 p.m. on NHPR and available for streaming on its website and mobile app, marked the second of three discussions organized by NHPR and the Granite State News Collaborative. Voters can watch the event on NHPR’s YouTube channel and Facebook page as well.
Ayotte and Craig tackled a range of topics critical to voters, reflecting their contrasting visions for New Hampshire. The forum aimed to clarify each candidate’s stance as they vie for the opportunity to lead the state in the coming years.
Looking ahead, an upcoming forum on October 28 at noon is scheduled, featuring candidates for New Hampshire’s 2nd Congressional District: Republican Lily Tang Williams and Democrat Maggie Goodlander.
With the election gaining momentum, NHPR encourages community engagement and invites residents to share their thoughts on the 2024 general election through a recently launched survey.
As election day approaches, voters in the Granite State are urged to stay informed about polling locations, view sample ballots, and check their registration status to ensure their voices are heard on November 8.
