Press Release: Taco Tour Draws Hundreds to Downtown Manchester Amid Rain
MANCHESTER, N.H. – On Thursday evening, downtown Manchester was bustling with excitement as hundreds flocked to the annual Taco Tour, a signature culinary celebration that has become one of the largest single-day food festivals in the nation since its inception in 2011. With over 20,000 attendees expected, the event transformed Elm Street into a fiesta of flavors from 4 PM to 8 PM.
More than 100 restaurants participated, serving diverse taco offerings for just $3 each. From classic beef and chicken varieties to creative dessert tacos and even hot dog tacos, the event catered to all tastes. The competition heated up as attendees voted for their favorite taco, with the winning eatery earning a $1,000 donation to a charity of their choice, in addition to the coveted Taco Trophy.
Despite looming rain—with downpours predicted to arrive mid-event—spirits remained high. Many festival-goers braved the weather, prepared with umbrellas, while enjoying flavorful bites. Last year’s rainy conditions didn’t dampen the fun, and organizers were hopeful that participants would relish the food regardless of the forecast.
