Unpredictable Weather Expected for Mother’s Day Weekend in New Hampshire
CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire’s weather is set to be a mix of rain and sunshine this Mother’s Day Weekend, according to local forecasts.
Friday will kick off with showers expected in the late morning and early afternoon, accompanied by cooler temperatures in the lower 50s and a light wind. Rain will continue into the evening, bringing lows in the mid-40s. Saturday morning will see lingering showers, but the skies should clear by evening, with temperatures warming to the mid-60s.
In contrast, Sunday promises sunny skies, with highs reaching the upper 60s and overnight temperatures dropping to the lower 40s. The pleasant weather will carry into Monday, with temperatures potentially soaring into the upper 70s.
While the forecast improves for the weekend, the New Hampshire State Police-Marine Patrol are sounding an alarm about the dangers of cold-water immersion. Despite the sunny weather, water temperatures remain dangerously low, below 60 degrees, posing risks of shock, hypothermia, and drowning in just a matter of minutes. Boaters and swimmers are urged to wear life jackets, dress appropriately for the chilly waters, and stay aware of safety regulations.
