New Hampshire Weather Update: Unsettled Conditions with Rain Ahead

Updated: May 4, 2025, 5:13 AM EDT

Meteorologist Matt Hoenig reports that New Hampshire will continue to experience unsettled weather this week, with additional rain expected, especially in the southern regions. Southerly areas can anticipate increased rainfall this evening, as low-pressure systems move across the state.

While it won’t be a complete washout, those in New Hampshire will feel the effects of persistent fog, drizzle, and light showers throughout the morning. Afternoon rain will become steadier, particularly impacting the southern half, with temperatures remaining cool, likely hovering in the 50s to near 60 degrees.

Tonight, rain will persist in the south while northern areas remain cloudy, with overnight lows ranging from the 40s to around 50 degrees. Monday morning will bring the heaviest rainfall, but the afternoon may offer some drier moments, especially in the northern regions, although a cool atmosphere will prevail with highs still in the 50s.

Looking ahead, rain is expected to continue through Tuesday, beneficial for southern New Hampshire. A shift in weather is anticipated by Wednesday, when temperatures may rise, possibly bringing sunshine alongside the risk of afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions as the week progresses.
