A tragic skiing accident at Black Mountain Ski Area in Jackson, New Hampshire resulted in the death of a 39-year-old man over the weekend. The incident was reported to Jackson police at 5:51 p.m. on Sunday by a passing skier, as no one had witnessed the accident itself.
Ski patrol responded to the Upper Maple Slalom trail near the summit, where they found an unresponsive man with severe injuries off the trail. Despite efforts from both ski patrol and Bartlett Jackson Ambulance personnel, the man, identified as Eric M. Page of Bartlett, did not survive.
The chief medical examiner’s office was notified, and Page’s body was taken to a funeral home in North Conway. The incident is currently under investigation by police.
