Trooper fires at woman following chase in Dover, New Hampshire

A woman was shot by a New Hampshire State Police trooper following a pursuit early Sunday morning in Dover. Moriah Infinjer, 28, of Farmington, led troopers on a chase reaching speeds of 100 mph before being stopped by a spike strip. After the car was stopped, a trooper fired his gun and Infinjer was struck, sustaining non-life-threatening injuries. The incident resulted in the closure of both lanes of the Spaulding Turnpike from exits 6 to 8, but was later cleared. Witnesses described a tense scene with officers drawing guns and shields, leading to the evacuation of drivers in the area. Infinjer has been charged with multiple offenses related to the chase and will be arraigned once released from the hospital. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, and the trooper involved will not be identified until a formal interview next week. No officers were injured during the incident. The community is left shocked by the unusual behavior of law enforcement during the situation.
