A Chichester man, Dylan Beaudet, was arrested after leading police on a pursuit through multiple New Hampshire towns on Sunday morning. The pursuit began on Route 106 in Loudon and continued through Chichester and Pittsfield, where state troopers took over. The chase was later terminated for safety reasons, but the abandoned vehicle was found on Tilton Hill Road in Pittsfield. A witness reported seeing Beaudet’s abandoned car while out for a run and later encountered him asking for directions.
A state police K-9 unit tracked down Beaudet, who was found on Bow Lake Road in Barnstead and arrested. Beaudet is facing charges from Loudon police, including reckless conduct, disobeying a police officer, and reckless operating. He is also being charged with operating as a certified habitual offender and other motor vehicle offenses.
Beaudet is currently being held at the Merrimack County Department of Corrections and is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday. Additional charges are expected from state police. The pursuit caused concern for residents in the area, but authorities were able to safely apprehend Beaudet without further incident.
