A new storm system is expected to bring snow and wintry mix to interior parts of New Hampshire early Saturday morning. Snow and rain are already falling across the state, with steadier bursts expected closer to sunrise in southern New Hampshire. Temperatures will gradually warm up, turning wet snow and mix into a cold rain from the Merrimack Valley to the coast. Highs on Saturday will remain in the 30s to near 40, with light accumulations expected. Higher elevations could see 1 to 3 inches of snow, with some areas potentially getting over 3 inches.
Travel could be slick on Saturday morning, especially in higher elevations where snow is likely to stick to the pavement. Hooksett police have already responded to multiple crashes and are advising people to stay off the roads until the snow stops. On Sunday, scattered showers are possible in southern and eastern zones, with cloudy skies and highs in the 40s to near 50. Monday and Tuesday are expected to have milder temperatures, with sunny skies and highs in the 50s and 60s likely.
