Pappas scheduled to visit Laconia on Saturday as part of Grounded in Granite tour | Elections

Congressman Chris Pappas will be visiting Laconia on Saturday, March 22, as part of his “Grounded in Granite” tour of all 10 counties in New Hampshire. The tour, announced on Wednesday, will see Pappas visit all of the state’s counties over just five days. During the visit, Pappas will appear at the Belknap County Democratic Committee headquarters at 2 p.m. to meet with residents and listen to their concerns as he considers entering the race for the United States Senate.

This tour comes after U.S. Sen. Jean Shaheen announced on March 12 that she will not seek reelection to the Senate in 2026. In a press release, Pappas expressed his dedication to the people, places, and values of New Hampshire and his commitment to fighting for working families, communities, and small businesses.

Pappas stated that he has been encouraged to consider running for the U.S. Senate and emphasized the importance of listening to Granite Staters to learn how he can best serve and make a difference. He highlighted the need to address issues such as lowering costs for families, ensuring community safety, and pushing back against what he describes as reckless and lawless actions from the current administration in Washington.

The congressman expressed his eagerness to continue the fight for the state and its residents, emphasizing the importance of strong leadership for the years ahead.
