State Police Arrest 60 Individuals During St. Patrick’s Day Weekend Enforcement

New Hampshire State Police were out in full force over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, conducting a high-visibility enforcement initiative that resulted in the arrest of dozens of individuals across the state. Troopers stopped 1,785 vehicles from early Friday morning through 2 a.m. Tuesday, issuing 647 summonses, 1,384 warnings, and making 60 arrests. The additional patrols focused on finding impaired and speeding drivers, resulting in 32 traffic-related offenses, 20 DUIs, and 28 arrests for warrants, drug offenses, or other charges. While there were 49 crashes reported, thankfully, none were fatal. Major Brendan Davey reminded drivers that safe choices lead to better outcomes and urged everyone to slow down, stay off their phones, buckle up, and never drink and drive.

In an unrelated incident, a fatal crash occurred on the Spaulding Turnpike on March 13, involving an SUV rear-ending a stopped dump truck. The driver of the SUV, James Stammers, was killed in the crash. The investigation is ongoing, with anyone who may have information asked to contact authorities. Additionally, a list of recent arrests across New Hampshire for various charges was provided by the State Police.
