South Carolina GOP Sen. Lindsey Graham criticized members of his own party who are supporting Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential bid, calling her the most radical nominee in American history. He argued that the policies of Biden and Harris are dangerous for the country and called for a change in policy ideas. Graham dismissed former President Trump’s escalating rhetoric, including calling Democrats “the enemy from within,” stating that they are winning based on their own policies, not Trump’s words.
Several high-profile Republicans, including Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, and former Trump administration officials, have endorsed Harris in recent weeks. Graham pointed out that Harris’ fingerprints are all over what he views as a disaster caused by the Biden administration. He referenced a comment Harris made on “The View” where she couldn’t think of anything she would do differently than Biden, which has drawn criticism from Republicans.
Trump has been doubling down on his “enemy from within” comments, referring to Democrats as such in various appearances and interviews. Graham downplayed Trump’s remarks, emphasizing that the focus should be on policy ideas and the need for change in leadership. He believes that Americans are seeking a different direction in this election and tied Harris to the current administration’s policies.
