Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing a series of new lawsuits filed in federal court on behalf of four males and two females, alleging sexual assault and rape incidents dating back to 1995. The lawsuits were filed by attorney Tony Buzbee under the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, seeking unspecified damages. Combs has denied all allegations, stating they are the result of people seeking a quick payday. The most recent lawsuit alleges an incident in 2021 where the accuser was allegedly sexually assaulted by Combs and other unknown men. These lawsuits come as Combs is fighting pre-trial detention on federal racketeering and sex trafficking charges. The court documents and criminal indictment paint a disturbing picture of drug-fueled parties combined with violence. Combs has been denied bail twice and is currently awaiting trial in Brooklyn. These suits follow a previous lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, which was settled for an undisclosed amount. Additionally, Dawn Richard, a former member of Danity Kane, has also sued Combs for groping, assaulting, and threatening her. Combs’ legal team has accused the government of leaking information to the media, seeking an evidentiary hearing on the matter. Prosecutors have denied these accusations, with the judge likely to impose a reciprocal gag order preventing both sides from engaging with the media.
